Kroger really better make a decision soon and stick to it!! They are being boycotted by couponers, but at the same time they are DRIVING SALES and UP-ing their profits by scare tactics to the customers which is causing many to go shopping u...sing TONS of coupons before 4/13 - If KROGER is going to make a reversal of this coupon policy it needs to be NOW - not after scaring people and using bait and switch deceptive tactics on customers and driving their stock and sales up that would be illegal!! The clock is ticking Kroger reverse the no doubles- triple coupon policy.
Do you use coupons at Kroger? There are big changes on the horizon. As we reported Monday, Kroger will soon no longer honor double and triple coupon amounts. Do you have questions about the policy changes? Below is a transcript of a live chat we held with Super Saver Erin Libranda and Kroger Public Relations Manager Kristal Howard.

Why does Kroger think that people that do not use coupons will even bother with electronic coupons? If only 7% of people take advantage of the doubling/tripling, then what is the big deal?

4:59 Erin Libranda: it is my understanding that they still want to help people save money and everything is being moved to e-coupons

Here is something that has me purplexed....In the Chat session yesterday, the Kroger representative stated that this policy change was not due to the TLC show that will be airing soon. She stated that the new policy was discussed and decided upon some time ago, with the decision to roll it out on 04-13-11. Here's the part that I find contradictory....if this decision was made a while back to discontinue with the double/triple Q's and go with whatever this new better way to save plan is.....Why have they stated that they are "finishing up" writing the new Q policy and will have it available on the 13th??? Wouldn't it have been much smarter to have the new policy info detailed and ready to make public in tandem with discontinuing the d/t Q's??? Moreover, I get that Kroger eats the cost of any d/t over the face value and they need to cut costs or whatever. If that were actually true, why in the world wouldn't they test market this in a location where they double to a $1.00 and have no limits on the number of Q's d/t?? WOuldn't that in effect save more $$?? I'm not suggesting I want another market to have to deal with this either...I'm just using what I think is simple logic.....sorry for the long post! ;)
linda: Well target is getting on the bandwagon too. I was told today by the asst manager at Westheimer/Wilcrest Houston Tx that the corp office told them to only customers use a total of 5 coupons a day.

JoAnn: OMG!! I went to Walgreens on 6730 Hillcroft Houston, Texas and got two rebate forms for the Witch Hazel I purchased at Walgreens on Westheimer which did not have the forms. When I went to purchased my items after looking for something one to ring me in the cosmetic counter the manager Harry Aurbry came over to me and I said he watched me on the security cameras and saw me steal those rebate forms. The Manager told me He watched me on the security camera stealing the rebate forms. I informed him I purchase two at another Walgreens that didnt have the forms. He said I was stealing the rebate form because I didn't purchase the Witch Hazels from him location. I called Corporate office immediately they apologized and said they will have the distant manager get in touch with me. If he was watching on the security cameras why didn't he send some one to ring up customers. Btw, he asked me to prove I purchased the Witch Hazel. I got the receipt out my purse and showed him where I had purchase the witch hazel at the other Walgreens. He took the rebate forms from me and said I couldn't keep them because they are for his customers. He took the forms and took them and went through a door in the back of the store.
