Walmart Ad Match Policy HERE

Walmart Ad Match Guarantee

• We’re committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we’ll match it. Right at the register.

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*

•Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price•Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)

•Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price at a specific retailer•Example: $2.99

•Preferred shopping card advertised prices for specific item - NO CARD REQUIRED - Includes MEGA EVENT type sales•that are in a printed ad and require a competitor's shopping card for the discount to apply

•For fresh produce and meat items•when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each) (Walmart will convert lbs and ea quantities for price matching if unit type is different.)

•Walmart will match pharmacy advertisements.

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

•We will match any local competitor's advertised price.

•We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.

•Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:

•Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price•example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C" UNLESS both products have a price on them!

•Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product•example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"

•Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card•example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card

•Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given

•Going out of business or closeout prices

•Percentage off•example: "All mascara, 40% off" UNLESS it gives a final price on the product!

•Competitors' private label price promotions - Walmart will price match private label if it is the exact size and both items are the same!

We do not honor:

•Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.

•Misprinted ad prices of other retailers

•Competitor ads from outside of the store's local trade territory

•Walmart does not honor Wal-Mart or Competitors internet pricing!

•Walmart does not honor Up Rewards, Register Rewards or any other Ad Match that requires an additional purchase to be made!

***Walmart Manufacturer Coupon Training all employees should have now received: (FYI - This information is NOT available on Walmart's website! Rather it is a part of Wal-Mart coupon training instructions.)

•Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase!!!!

•The Vendor coupon key can be used to override a coupon which is valid but will not scan at the register!

•Competitor's store coupon prices will be treated as an ad match!

Utah County Policies:

Round Up Coupons:

Walmart will match competitor's advertisements for Coupon Round Up Promotions.

•Coupons will only be doubled up to $1.00

$0.25 = $1.00

$0.50 = $1.00

$0.75 = $1.00

$1.00 = $1.00

Double Coupons:

Walmart will honor competitor's double coupons when they are advertised for a total discount NOT TO EXCEED $1.00!

(Double coupon procedure: The item will be price adjusted down by the face value of the coupon and then the coupon will be scanned to deduct the double.)

$0.25 = $0.50

$0.50 = $1.00

$0.75 = $1.00

$1.00 = $1.00

•Walmart does NOT accept print-at-home coupons that offer a free item without requiring a purchase be made (ie.. BOGO coupons which would be accepted!)

•Walmart also says: There are no valid FREE product or print-at-home High Value internet coupons - (Clarification - High value meaning $10 or more or for a free item like a Xbox etc...)

•Print-at-home coupons should be unaltered, crisp & clear, as blurred or altered coupons can be a sign of counterfeiting.

•Coupon websites allow a maximum of two coupons be printed that will share a serial number. Any additional coupons with that serial number could be considered fraudulent! (Way to go Walmart for teaching their cashiers this one!)

•Walmart does not require their customers to have the advertisement with them at time of purchase. It is the store managers responsibility to obtain all local competitor's ads each week!

•Wal-Mart's coupon or return policies do NOT prevent a customer from purchasing products with coupons and then later returning the products! Walmart will give the customer the FULL product price upon return as they will be reimbursed by the manufacturer for the coupon value!

•Walmart DOES NOT limit the items a customer can purchase when Ad Matching, even if a limit is printed in the ad! (In-Ad coupon limits will be followed, however.)

  3. Tiffany,

You can go to coupons.com; couponnetwork.com, redplum.com; smartsource.com; and check out weusecoupons.com and ourcouponhome.com....The last 2 sites have coupon databases where you can put in what you're looking for and if there is a coupon, it will tell you if it's printable or is in a insert, etc...
