Another BLOW to the Magical World of Coupons - Coupon Policy Change @ Gerland
Note: Gerland has changed their coupon policy. No more tripling up to 50¢. They double 50¢ now. I only shopped there because of the 50¢ triple otherwise, the prices are too high.

.I AM SO UPSET!! I HAD THE POLICE CALLED ON ME AND RATHER THAN GO INTO ALL THAT HAPPEN, I WILL LET YOU GUYS READ THE COMPLAINT I MADE TO CORPORATE WHEN I WAS RELEASED OUT OF THE POLICE CAR THAT WALMART CALLED ON ME LAST NIGHT! I AM SICKENED, I AM HURT DOWN TO MY SOUL!!!
Today ALL 3 of Walmarts Ethics Basic Beliefs were shattered for me:
• Respect for the Individual
• Service to our Customers
• Striving for Excellence
First I want to state that I am a nurse who frequents Walmart 5 - 7 days per week. Last year according to my receipts I spent $7, 427. 16 (EXACTLY) at Walmart. My mother, 3 sisters and best friend spends a great deal as well and after tonight's experience I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THAT I (OR THEM) WILL BE GOING BACK TO WALMART FOR A LONG TIME, IF EVER!
Tonight at approximately 11:35 PM I tried to check out at my local Walmart. I use coupons often to counter the effects of this bad economy. When I got to my last 16 items, I attempted to use a Walgreen’s coupon. I wanted to take advantage of the coupons once more before the end of the sale. I used the coupon 5 other times though out the dates listed, at this Walmart an another.
The cashier left and returned. He came back and told me the supervisor stated I could not use the coupon. I asked to speak to her and showed her the coupon policy that CLEARLY states I can use the coupons for a specific item for a specified price, for example $2.99. She then agreed to let me complete the transaction. The Assistant Manager (CHRISTA) overhead the conversation and told me I was not going to be able to complete my transaction. She stated that Walmart doesn’t allowed competitors coupons and she is tired of customers trying to take advantage. I then told her that there is a Competitor's Coupon Section on the Coupon Policy. I handed her my Coupon Policy I had in my coupon binder. The Assistant Manager (CHRISTA) then took the Coupon Policy and looked it over, took it out of the plastic sleeve I had it in, handed me the plastic sleeve back and then told me she was not returning my coupon policy. I told her that is MY property I copied off of Walmart.com and she told me I was NOT allowed to have it and that she has the right to TAKE AND KEEP any Walmart related paperwork from customers and I DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE THEM. Two customers were listening and told her she was wrong and that could be copied off Walmart website and she told them to stay out of the conversation. She then called for back up on the walky talky device and told then "I HAVE A SITUATION". I asked her to give me my property back and she refused. When I continued to assist she give my property back, never once raising my voice. She then called the police and 2 police cars came to the location refusing to listen to me. After speaking to the Assistant Manager CHRISTA, they asked me to come with them and placed me in their police car until they understand what is going on. I told them that my property was taken from me, I did not raise my voice and I have to sit in a police car. By this time my daughter and 4 year old nephew was crying and confused. I sat in the police car 33 minutes while the Assistant Manager CHRISTA spoke to them. The police officers came back to the car and told me I was going to jail for disturbing the peace. By that time the head Manager (ADAM), was coming to work, seeing the police cars and the crowd, he ran and asked the Assistant Manager CHRISTA, who was standing outside by this time talking to the police, what happened and she lied. Then about 4 Walmart employees and customers told him what happened and said it was CHRISTA who violated me and that I was totally calm. After hearing what everyone said, the Head Manager ADAM, came to the police car and told them to release me! He then told Assistant Manager CHRISTA to give MY paperwork back to me at once, and he began to apologize repeatedly .
I would like to add that I have over 3000 Friends/ Subscribers/Followers on my Facebook, Youtube and Twitter accounts that WILL hear of the TERRIBLE way I was treated at one of your Walmart stores!!!
I went to Walmart to shop as I had done 240 of the last 365 days and was insulted, denied an honest purchase, had the police called on me and placed in a police car in front of my 4 year old nephew and 17 year old daughter and I was spoke to and treated like a criminal! I CAN HONESTY SAY THAT IN MY 42 YEARS OF LIFE, MY SITUATION WITH THE ASSISTANT MANAGER CHRISTA, WAS ONE OF THE TOP 3 WORST THINGS THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME IN MY LIFE!

My Walmart Coupon Experiment via Playa: Confessions of a Thrifty Mama
I decided to brave Walmart today and "test" my local Walmart's knowledge of their new coupon policy. I had a few different types of coupons I wanted to use as testers: 1. Internet coupon: I used the $3/1 Nivea Body Wash that was available on redplum a while back that met the coupon policy criteria.
2. Manufacturer coupons that exceeded the price of the item - I used the $5/1 Any Similac Product coupon. I was curious to see if they would actually give me cash for the "excess".
3. Catalinas printed from a competitors' register-I had a $2/1 Revlon Beauty Tools Walgreen CAT coupon that met the coupon policy criteria. Unfortunately I couldn't find any Revlon Tools (looked around and gave up).

FYI- Make Sure You Start Checking Out Before 12 Midnight If Your Coupon Expires That Day
While shopping at Walmart tonight I was in line checking out. I did a price match without the ad. The cashier and manager (she said she was the store manager ???) said Walmart does not match prices without an ad. I said Walmart has a new policy and you don't need an ad. The manager said she never of it and then she said she asked the other manager on duty and she never heard of it either. I went to my car to get the policy. When I returned I had to wait 10 minutes to locate her. By this time the register shut off. When the register came back on and the cashier finished ringing me up she scanned the coupon and the register said coupon has expired. P & G exp 4/30. The cashier said I'm sorry these coupons has expired. The customer service manager had to come over and explain to her to scan the coupons manually. The whole process took 50 minutes.

Walmart @ Westheimer/Hillcroft?? Next to the Worksource Has Their Coupon Policy in a Red Folder On Each Register
Note: The Cashier was not able to understand any part of the Policy. She looked 6 times at the policy. She told me Walmart does not take bogo coupons (head and shoulders coupon), she said Walmart does not take any coupon if the coupon is greater than the price, she said Walmart can not give me overages in cash because Walmart will go broke doing it - but she said nothing about Walmart getting reimburse for each coupon, she said Walmart does not take printed paper (internet coupons), she said Walmart does not match prices unless you have the ad, she said I can't used $2 coupon off the Head and Shoulder Shampoo because I was getting the conditioner free, and last she said I couldn't use a coupon because I was price matching. Well it took her 45 minutes to ring me up. The look on her face when she saw the total that I owe was only 6¢.
